Every Profession Can Be Fun

I never wore a uniform after graduation from elementary and honestly I don’t want the idea of wearing the same clothes everyday. I have a nurse friend who loves her job. She is assigned in the maternity department and she is always overwhelmed every time a mother gives birth to a newborn and because she works with babies, she opts for more fun nurses uniforms that she wears everyday. Just the other day, she showed me these set of scrubs…

Getting Techie-er!

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings,Other Matters | Sunday 16 October 2011 4:09 pm

My husband just got his new phone but is still planning to buy one of those high tech samsung cell phones that he saw online. I was asking him, why does he needs two cellphones and he told me he wants a personal phone and a business phone. He sometimes wants to leave work and business at home when we go on family trips and when we spend weekend with our son that he also wants to leave the phone at home when we do that but having a phone anywhere is important to him in case of emergency or when we are at the mall and I need to go to some shop and try stuff while he and our son goes to the mall playground, he can call me anytime. I think it is a brilliant idea and is actually sweet of him to think of that. I think, I might get myself another phone as well. :D

Busted Car and Canceled Trip

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings,Other Matters | Sunday 16 October 2011 4:02 pm

My trip was canceled. The electric thing in my car had a problem plus the car gps had a problem too and since I don’t know my way to the place I will be driving alone at without any gps, my husband and I decided for me not to go. I can bring his car but he had to go to a very important meeting for the company so I don’t think it will work. New Jersey is just a drive away from us but it is the first time I will ever visit my new friend’s place and I badly need my gps. So what, I did last Friday was just browse and shop online for a client and then call the car shop and then just browse my way to look for a better and much updated gps for my car. I decided to put a new one instead of just fixing the busted one and I think I saw a really nice and affordable one online, I will just have to consult with my husband about this, I don’t buy techie stuff without hearing his opinion.

Shopping for My Home Office

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Other Matters | Monday 15 August 2011 10:36 pm

Every two months, I shop for office supplies. I always make a list of what I need to buy for my home office and my husband’s as well. I work at home and most often than not, my husband too so most of the time we need ink replacement and other stuff. So, last weekend I made the list of all the stuff that we need and much to my surprise our barcode scanner broke and needs a replacement. I am suggesting that we have it fixed but the husband suspects that it will be cheaper if we buy a new one, a better one to replace that cheap scanner so I went online and ordered a DataLogic QuickScan 2130 Imager Series Barcode Scanner that has 5 years warranty, not bad for the price of $169 right? I love shopping online, even if it means shopping for non-fashion stuff. :)

For His Business

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings,Other Matters | Sunday 10 July 2011 10:41 am

My husband is putting a store, I don’t want to say what business he is merging into but he needs to buy metal detectors for some security for the customers and the store. He and his people are remodeling the establishment and will launch soon and I am actually helping him supply a couple of stuff for this 2-storey store which I find really cool. I am actually also taking part as a consultant and by posting this, I am kinda giving away what his business will be. I need not to elaborate more but I pretty psyched about it. I need to find a really classy but casual attire for the opening which will happen in the afternoon, not the typical dinner party but we will be serving dinner and dessert for family and some close friends after. Yay!

Updates in the Business

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Other Matters | Thursday 5 May 2011 3:10 am

My husband was so busy with papers about cash advances this weekend that I nearly threw a fit because we both promised that weekends should be for the family. Some employees have been giving him headaches and his managers can’t control the problem so last Friday they had a meeting that lasted for almost half a day which is why our lunch together got canceled because they already ate lunch and early dinner in the conference room so I ended up having lunch with a close gay friend and then I just took my son to a nearby pizza parlor at 7pm. I was too exhausted to cook dinner for the two of us. Good thing, my husband made up for the whole day he had been seriously reading and writing papers in the study and treated me and his son to a nice dinner last Saturday, food can really do wonders! :D

Dad’s Birthday, Coming Up

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Other Matters | Friday 1 April 2011 2:36 am

My Dad’s birthday month is April and as a busy bee like me, shopping for other people, I might not have the time to shop for him. You see when I have to shop for gifts to my love ones, I can take half a day or maybe a whole day just finding the right gift for them. Birthdays only happens once a year and I want gifts to be personalized and very special, something that would say to the person that you spent precious time choosing it. I am planning to buy gifts for Dad online since my husband suggested that. I sometimes shop for clients online when I need to stay home with our son and why not choose something online for my Dad as well, so that even if I spend the whole night looking for items, I can.

Outer Banks

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Other Matters | Friday 25 March 2011 2:58 am

A client of mine knew about us looking for an outer banks home and she referred carolinadesigns.com to me. Just a recap: My husband and I are thinking of renting a house away from the city, are we leaving New York? No we won’t be leaving, but we want a vacation, to be away from the stress that the city brings sometimes hence we agreed that maybe we can go somewhere in North Carolina. Anyway, I was browsing since this afternoon and I am very excited to show my husband some awesome homes from the site. Look at the houses that caught my attention:

Very homey isn’t it?

For the Family

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Other Matters | Friday 25 March 2011 2:48 am

I had coffee with my friend just this afternoon and her daughter got sick and was confined in the hospital for a week, thank goodness they have Medicare plan so it was not too expensive for them.It got me thinking about us who don’t have that. Well, the standard stuff of having insurance is okay but you have to think of what is good for your family when the need arises and plans like that are very essential. Unexpected spending will be very hard if you are not ready and with kids, you must be ready. My friend has 3 kids and his husband works abroad and I’m just glad she doesn’t have to worry about these stuff.

Pump it Up!

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Other Matters | Monday 7 March 2011 6:47 am

I was talking about pumps to a friend of mine, I was raving and raving about how pretty the pumps I saw online for my client and maybe I can buy a pair for myself when he told me that he also saw wonderful commercial pumps online. I was a bit unsure if I heard him correctly so I asked him to repeat his statement and I actually heard right. I was like, “What are you talking about? Jenny asked you to look for a pair for her?” and he said no and he continued his story until I found our that he was actually talking about a self priming spa pool pump that he wants for their spa at home. I knew there is a catch and I find it actually hilarious.
