Travel Bag for Summer

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Bags and then Some,My Everyday Musings | Wednesday 18 April 2012 10:16 pm

For days now, I am thinking of what to do this coming summer. I want to plan nicer activities for my son and I am looking for Disney World Vacation Packages that we might get this coming June. My son wants to go back to Disney World and since my husband and I both love it there too, we will be coming back this summer. We might go ahead and hit the beach after Disney World too so we might look for a nice place there so we can stay for maybe 2 weeks or more. I hope my husband can take a longer break at work than what we expect. Anyway, with summer just around the corner, I am also excited and eyeing for this really nice tote that I think I can have as a travel bag…

Bi Gao

Bi Gao takes its inspiration from the everyday life of Vietnamese people working in the rice harvest. In fabric, linen and cowhide, the line offers extremely rustic traditional rice bags in models distinguished by a very pure leather closure, which serves as a Longchamp identifier recognizable at a glance. You can choose your Bi Gao in a hobo design worn on the shoulder or a hand-held tote version: two bags offering an attractive size and casual chic style.

Shabby Chic Home

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Wednesday 18 April 2012 9:12 pm

A friend of mine saw a few Shabby Chic style in our apartment and she decided to do a few changes of her rustic decor in her home. She asked me to come with her yesterday and grab a few magazines and found ourselves shopping at the nearest home deco stores. It was so overwhelming to see a couple of nice pieces that I want to put in our powder room and master bath but I have to control myself and shop for my friend instead and then we went to her apartment and she what she can do with her place. I think there is so much room to grow but I advised her to scan the magazines first and talk to our home designer friend before she decides to change her whole apartment, I think that is a clever thing to do.

Photoshop and More

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Sunday 1 April 2012 8:38 pm

I didn’t know about iMovie until a friend of mine showed me a couple of works he made from that software. I have iMovie in my Macbook Pro, how cool is that and I didn’t realize that until he told me, not that I will be needing that software soon. Anyway, the reason why we met is that I need to learn some basics in Photoshop for some layouts that I need to do for a job. Luckily this friend of mine does well in these kinds of stuff and we played around a golf ball logo so I can practice. I will be meeting up with him again next week for some more tutoring and I’m glad I am learning this for free, lucky me!

Mother’s Day Gift

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Greetings/Holidays,Home Shopping,My Everyday Musings | Friday 30 March 2012 8:13 pm

I work really hard and prepare early whenever an occasion is coming because I so want to give a very nice gift, something that is really thought of, to make that person feel special. So as early as today, I am looking for Mothers day gift ideas for my mom and my mother in law. I know it’s very early but believe me, with our busy schedule, a month of preparation before May is a very clever way to do it.

What’s great about this is that both my mom and my mother in law love anything that’s for the home and so I went straight to The White Company to scout really luxurious gift ideas. What I love about this store is that they have stylish but affordable items and with their excellent customer service, they are now one of the UK’s fastest-growing, award-winning multi-channel retailers. So, what will I get our mothers? I’ll be getting throws and cushions for both and will be throwing some candles and fragrances as well.

As for the candles and fragrances, I haven’t decided yet.

Spring Cleaning

I am into Spring cleaning, I am not done yet and while I’m on it, hubby plans on cleaning the external part of our home and he is starting with the gutters so he is now in search for the best Leaf Defier products. I will have to leave that to him because I don’t know a single thing about that, I will just stay with my cleaning. So far, I finished our walk in closet, which I always do first because I put all the Winter clothes tucked out of reach and took out the Spring and Summer clothing. It is a lot of work and that’s something I hate to do but I don’t want to organize our closets again come the end of the year because I’m sure it will be a mess if I don’t do this, so yes, this is a task that I have to do but doesn’t enjoy, a single bit. So far, I am done with the bedrooms and onto the living room next week! Yay!

Home Development

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Wednesday 7 March 2012 8:14 pm

Have you heard about manufactured homes before? Well, I had this conversation with my developer friend who is encouraging me to purchase one. Actually, my husband and I want to build a house in the suburbs so we can have a place to go to during vacations and if we want to be away from the city. Sometimes, the city can be so fast phased and very busy that you just want to escape, we routinely do the escaping twice a year and a home away from the city can be worth it. I hope I can convince my husband when I show these houses…

Starting a Business

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Wednesday 22 February 2012 7:51 pm

My cousin was talking to my husband the other day and they were talking about the silver bullion bars that they invested in last month. My cousin became so interested with my husband’s investment last year that he studied everything from scratch and would call us any time of the day when he needs to know something from my husband. Thank goodness the husband is a very patient man and he answered all queries without hesitation. Just the other day, I overheard them talking about business and my cousin was asking about cash flow too and the husband advised him to study the following in handling his cash flow:

1. Reserves
2. Expenses
3. Financing

I have no knowledge of these things which made it impossible for me to be in our business, I’m just glad I have my husband who is an expert to our company.

Mom To Be Dresses

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Sunday 12 February 2012 9:01 pm

I was browsing at the tiny pictures that my firend linked me and I was not reading carefully until I clicked the larger photos and found out that these pretty dresses that she linked me were actually maternity dresses that she is planning to get her friend. The styles were impeccable and can really be worn even if you are not pregnant, in my honest opinion. It is really wise to choose a dress that you can still wear even if you are no longer pregnant, then the money will be worth it. As for my taste, I chose these style for her.

Oh, I wasn’t aware that I chose all dresses in purple. Yay!

Nurses in Style

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Sunday 12 February 2012 8:45 pm

Whowouldhave guessed that nursing uniforms can be stylish? These days there are several uniforms that can be worn with style by our trusted nurses. Well, a friend’s daughter is now a certified nurse and she asked me if I can style her everyday wardrobe, not that she will be needing a lot of help, since she will only be wearing scrubs to work but even these can be worn without boring your sense of style and I gladly obliged when she asked me to work on her wardrobe to work and I found a couple of nice stuff to start with…

For Tweeners

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Friday 3 February 2012 3:12 am

I saw my godson the other day and I seldom see him these days since they moved in to Washington. I was amazed on how kids grow up today, it is very fast and they seem to be more mature than when I am at that age. He is 11 by the way and since he knows my work is related to fashion, he asked me to get him a couple of rogue status items and I didn’t know about this stuff until I searched online with him when he visited us with his parents last weekend. He wants these stuff and I guess, I cannot say no, besides, he is one of my faves!

His mom approves of the items so I am getting those. :)
