Mom To Be Dresses

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Sunday 12 February 2012 9:01 pm

I was browsing at the tiny pictures that my firend linked me and I was not reading carefully until I clicked the larger photos and found out that these pretty dresses that she linked me were actually maternity dresses that she is planning to get her friend. The styles were impeccable and can really be worn even if you are not pregnant, in my honest opinion. It is really wise to choose a dress that you can still wear even if you are no longer pregnant, then the money will be worth it. As for my taste, I chose these style for her.

Oh, I wasn’t aware that I chose all dresses in purple. Yay!

Nurses in Style

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Sunday 12 February 2012 8:45 pm

Whowouldhave guessed that nursing uniforms can be stylish? These days there are several uniforms that can be worn with style by our trusted nurses. Well, a friend’s daughter is now a certified nurse and she asked me if I can style her everyday wardrobe, not that she will be needing a lot of help, since she will only be wearing scrubs to work but even these can be worn without boring your sense of style and I gladly obliged when she asked me to work on her wardrobe to work and I found a couple of nice stuff to start with…

For Tweeners

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Friday 3 February 2012 3:12 am

I saw my godson the other day and I seldom see him these days since they moved in to Washington. I was amazed on how kids grow up today, it is very fast and they seem to be more mature than when I am at that age. He is 11 by the way and since he knows my work is related to fashion, he asked me to get him a couple of rogue status items and I didn’t know about this stuff until I searched online with him when he visited us with his parents last weekend. He wants these stuff and I guess, I cannot say no, besides, he is one of my faves!

His mom approves of the items so I am getting those. :)

Themed Parties

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Sunday 29 January 2012 10:05 pm

I will be attending two themed parties this February. One is a red carpet theme and the other one is that we are required to come wearing funny t shirts that can represent us as a person. The first party is not that hard, my peg will be Audrey Hepburn. Classic beauty, forever a beauty icon. But the second party is a bit hard, I might go in flared jeans and high wedge sandals and I might choose from these shirts…

Pinterest-ing

Do you know Pinterest? Well, it a site where you can pin photos in your own “boards”, more of like having a vision board online. It is very addicting especially pinning photos about fashion and home. It’s a world full of ideas and creativity from boards like Architecture, Arts, Home Design, Organization, Shoes, Fashion and Accessories! I’ve been eyeing this kitchen design from my home pin board and been wondering about it’s sink and I always wanted those undermount stainless steel sinks in my dream kitchen.

I love how clean this kitchen looks and those stools are nice for a touch of color. Love the huge windows that will take in all the natural light during the day. This kitchen will definitely be in my vision when we build our dream home.

Every Profession Can Be Fun

I never wore a uniform after graduation from elementary and honestly I don’t want the idea of wearing the same clothes everyday. I have a nurse friend who loves her job. She is assigned in the maternity department and she is always overwhelmed every time a mother gives birth to a newborn and because she works with babies, she opts for more fun nurses uniforms that she wears everyday. Just the other day, she showed me these set of scrubs…

Gift for His Best Friend

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Tuesday 20 December 2011 11:48 pm

My husband loves music and so is his best friend who plays the guitar beautifully, he loves to play jazz by the way and my husband though not the best player like his best friend plays with him once in a while. My husband mentioned to me that just las week while they were having a music session, his best friend’s guitar string was cut and there! I got the perfect idea of what to give his best friend for the Holidays… The best guitar strings that he will be happy to get this season. I should get them with the husband because I have no knowledge about it and it’s only a few days before Christmas, we will definitely grab them tomorrow. I will do my final Christmas shopping for 2011 tomorrow and I will meet my husband to buy the strings and then have dinner before we head home. A nice plan! I am excited to shop again!

Serious Talk with a Friend

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Thursday 15 December 2011 1:35 am

My friend called me up last night and was asking about high risk life insurance and I honestly don’t know anything about it so I wasn’t able to help her in that aspect and promised her that I will search more about it since I am online more that she does and maybe I will also ask my insurance agent about that just to know more about it plus it is always nice to add knowledge right? Anyway, I may not be able to help her about insurance but I know I was there as a friend. She needed someone to talk to about her marriage and though I am all ears, I also advised her to seek professional help. Her husband is willing to work things out and I think it is a good start than nothing. I wish her luck.

Small Business in Mind

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My 2 Cents,My Everyday Musings | Tuesday 13 December 2011 7:09 am

I am itching to start my own little boutique in the corner block near our home. Friends and my husband are supporting me to take the risk. As much as I want to put up a business, it might affect my freelance work and I am earning a lot from my job. But that doesn’t hinder me in searching for nice store fixtures if ever I will start my small business. I must admit, I had fun and was a little bit excited about all the reads I read online about it.

  • I need to think of the style that I want, the things I want to sell. I’m actually leaning more to vintage clothing and the classic basic clothing.
  • I saw some nice velvety blackĀ mannequins for sale and I am thinking of putting some in the boutique for a little more drama.
  • I want a very shabby chic little nook for those who wait for their companions who are trying clothes in the store.
  • I want to use interesting boutique clothing racks, some really nice window displays and maybe put some art.

But I discovered that I will be needing more stuff than these and I think, I’m not too ready to be into a small business that will take so much of my time. I’m afraid that I will have no family time at all because of this if ever I still want to continue my freelance job on the side.

    More Investments

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Saturday 3 December 2011 6:41 pm

My husband and my uncle buy gold coins and they still continue to invest. I still don’t have the guts to invest in gold like them because I have no time to learn more about the investment so I am leaving it all to them. My husband recently told me that he earned again from the coins and explained how but I was browsing online and wasn’t sure if I understood it right. Well, I promised him to give more time to it soon, I will but right now, I am just happy he gave me extra Christmas shopping moolah from the earnings! SWEET!
