Remodeling the Bathroom

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping,My Everyday Musings | Thursday 5 May 2011 3:24 am

It was a long Monday this week, the start of the work week and it was a drag, considering that the weekend was so much fun! I was soaking in the tub the other night with some scented candles and bath salts and thought that it will be more relaxing if we remodel the bathroom and make it into a modern bath. I needed more techniques and powers to convince my husband to do so, we have enough savings but he wanted to have a grand remodeling which is removing the wall that separates the bathroom and our closet. I told him, repainting the closet is just enough but he wants a bigger closet so he is suggesting to just remove the wall which is a major thing. Oh well, I will still keep this design whenever he decides to remodel the bathroom, I am dreaming of a modern design close to this one…

Antique Feel for Our Bedroom

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Monday 7 March 2011 6:59 am

We have a canopy bed at home and I always feel that I am transported back in time whenever I lay in bed at night and with a little fabric during the winter, I feel so homey in a castle during medieval times, we also have a closet and a dresser in the bedroom and since I want to achieve an antique feel, I want to put some accessories in the dresser and closet and I found a very nice site that makes antique hardware reproductions and talk about the possibilities with our interior decorator. I found some wonderful pieces that I really love, I hope the husband approves.

Another Kitchen Find

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Monday 21 February 2011 2:24 am

As I was planning to do a little makeover with the kitchen tiles, I stumbled upon a site for kitchen faucet and I want an upgrade again. I tell you as long as I surf and surf the net for more kitchen ideas, I will see more stuff that I want to do with our kitchen, my husband will be furious. But I know since like me, he also loves to cook, he will be glad to have a new set of lovely metals in the kitchen. We’ve been living in this house for quite some time now and I know an upgrade will not be so bad at all considering that the kitchen was untouched ever since we moved in. Look at these lovelies…

Primping the Kitchen

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Sunday 20 February 2011 9:07 pm

I’m thinking of primping our kitchen a little bit to add color. Ours is so white that I want liven it up with a splash of color by the counter top and the sink. I’m thinking of putting colorful glass tiles on the wall by the sink or the stove and the change the color of the granite counter top. Everything is so white which I still love though it’s a bit hard to maintain. I asked my husband’s permission regarding the matter and he told me that he thinks the kitchen is really boring from the start and he thinks it’s a good idea to include a little bit of color in that part of the house. So I’m thinking of something similar to these tiles to put on the wall…

What do you think?

Area Rugs at Home

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Sunday 6 February 2011 9:16 pm

Who doesn’t want a very beautiful home? I think that Area Rugs are very nice in a home to make it more personal, relaxed and beautiful. The space may look blunt but as soon as you put a very beautiful rug, you can instantly make the room more inviting. It makes a space more complete and welcoming and rugs at home can be very beneficial. One of the benefits and the major one for me is making a room more cozy and warm during the winter when the floor and the whole atmosphere of the room very cold and lifeless.

I particularly adore Persian Rugs, they are very unique in design and very elegant looking but this rugs sometimes chooses a place for you to put it on so I also am eyeing for some Discount Rugs that are contemporary in style so I can placed it on our more casual rooms like the family room and the office. I am just glad that at iRugs, I can order everything, a one stop shop for rugs that can beautify a boring home. They even have live chat for busy bees like me who wants answers right away. I am planning to redecorate the whole house and you bet, I will be dropping by at iRugs for more varieties to choose from!

New Bed

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Sunday 6 February 2011 8:13 pm

We need a new bed, our is already squeaking and I have a feeling it will give up on us after 10 years of use. We’ve been using the same bed when we moved in a few years back, actually it was a bed of mine when I was still living in my own apartment but when my husband and I were planning out wedding and decided to move in to this gorgeous apartment, I couldn’t let go of the wooden bed so we still use it until today. I am actually ready to let go and I am looking at these gorgeous wood beds over at Pottery Barn, the home store that I adore.

Repair It

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Sunday 6 February 2011 7:48 pm

Our lawnmower needed some fixing and I have no idea where to buy the parts, my neighbor willingly volunteered to fix it but I needed some parts to be replaced and I have no idea where to buy the Briggs & Stratton parts since this was the first time that this thing broke down. It was a bit tiring to surf on the net since I have no energy in these kinds of stuff but my husband was so busy this weekend that I had to do it myself. We are preparing stuff at home ready for Spring even if it’s still so Winter out here and thank goodness I found a very reliable site, Repair Clinic. Not only do I find the complete things that I need but they also offer 95% of all parts to ship the same business day. They allow return any part (not that I might need to) for any reason, even the electrical or special order parts. They even have a live chat from 8:00 am til midnight for 7 days a week and they have more than 1,500,000 parts for more than 125 brands. They even have free online repair help for most repairs. This is one of the best online shop that I discovered and it’s not even about fashion. Really cool.

One Cup Coffee Maker for the Home

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Friday 4 February 2011 7:40 pm

My husband is not a coffee drinker but I am. I love coffee and when I prefer our breakfast everyday, the first think I do is make one for me but our coffee maker is very old already plus it makes too much coffee that I can even finish for a day, it just gets wasted. I thought of buying a new coffee machine, I heard that there are single serve coffee makers that is available in the marker which is very useful for our household. I can keep our old coffee maker for guests that will come over in our home and use the single cup coffee maker for myself everyday.

With the line of work I have and I’m usually out clothes hunting, I have no time to do side trips to do some home shopping, unless I really need to do some grocery shopping but usually, I always buy what we need online or just consult our interior decorator. Anyway, a friend of mine referred MyCafe.com to me so I can choose from their wide array of pod coffee makers. They are committed to link you to a wide choice of highest quality of coffee and tea pods around making your experience of drinking coffee even in the comforts of your home more like drinking gourmet coffee in a fine restaurant and I want to experience that so I’m heading to MyCafe and will order now.

Bedding from Anthropologie

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Saturday 9 October 2010 9:43 am

Some of you don’t know that Anthropologie has an array of things for your home. I am a sucker for bedding.  I splurge when it comes to our bed. My logic? Well, you get a stressful day almost everyday, don’t you want a bed that is cozy and comfy for your relaxing sleep at night? Get the picture? Anyway, I found really new bedding from Anthropologie and then I drool…

I love white beds…

Better than a silver lining. A smooth expanse of cotton gives way to gathered borders, fluffy and full with ruffled volume. Now available in blue oxford cloth, for a pretty-preppy look.

A bit of color if you may…

Dapper ruffles with contrast-stitched edges add dressed-up elegance to cool cotton percale.

Still want more colors? Here…

Color-dappled leaves, amid a bed of neutral foliage, create a thick canopy on downy voile.

Ornate white embroidery stands at the forefront, casting silhouettes of blue and green atop crisp grey sateen.

Lovely, aren’t they? :D
