Gift for His Best Friend

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Tuesday 20 December 2011 11:48 pm

My husband loves music and so is his best friend who plays the guitar beautifully, he loves to play jazz by the way and my husband though not the best player like his best friend plays with him once in a while. My husband mentioned to me that just las week while they were having a music session, his best friend’s guitar string was cut and there! I got the perfect idea of what to give his best friend for the Holidays… The best guitar strings that he will be happy to get this season. I should get them with the husband because I have no knowledge about it and it’s only a few days before Christmas, we will definitely grab them tomorrow. I will do my final Christmas shopping for 2011 tomorrow and I will meet my husband to buy the strings and then have dinner before we head home. A nice plan! I am excited to shop again!

Travel Collection from Gucci

I am into travel shopping nowadays. I am looking for traveling essentials like luggage and bags. I am thinking of classic and that is why I went to GUCCI. I love Gucci, I find their bag collections very classy and I think the prices are worth it. Here are what I found on their website.

Tips in Purchasing a Lightweight Luggage

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My 2 Cents | Thursday 15 December 2011 1:59 am

Aside from a gps trailer tracking that I want to purchase along with a lot of gadget stuff that we can use whenever we want to travel in a trailer van, I also want to purchase a lightweight luggage for me and my husband that we can also use during our short business trips by planes. Anyway, here are a few guidelines in purchasing a lightweight luggage:

  • Leather can have long life but we are talking about lightweight and leather is heavy. Choose nylon and some other variations similar to that to avoid too much weight.
  • Consider top and/or side handles; over-the-shoulder strap; backpack straps; built-in wheels, and slip back (a wide belt that allows a smaller bag to slip over the pull handle of a larger wheeled bag.) Most bags have a combination of these and will let you carry it easier.
  • I suggest you get a baggage wardrobe built with all the pieces are ideally lightweight, expandable and have wheels.

Great tips and I will definitely find the best lightweight luggage the next time I go shopping with all the other essentials for our road trips.

Serious Talk with a Friend

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Thursday 15 December 2011 1:35 am

My friend called me up last night and was asking about high risk life insurance and I honestly don’t know anything about it so I wasn’t able to help her in that aspect and promised her that I will search more about it since I am online more that she does and maybe I will also ask my insurance agent about that just to know more about it plus it is always nice to add knowledge right? Anyway, I may not be able to help her about insurance but I know I was there as a friend. She needed someone to talk to about her marriage and though I am all ears, I also advised her to seek professional help. Her husband is willing to work things out and I think it is a good start than nothing. I wish her luck.

Small Business in Mind

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My 2 Cents,My Everyday Musings | Tuesday 13 December 2011 7:09 am

I am itching to start my own little boutique in the corner block near our home. Friends and my husband are supporting me to take the risk. As much as I want to put up a business, it might affect my freelance work and I am earning a lot from my job. But that doesn’t hinder me in searching for nice store fixtures if ever I will start my small business. I must admit, I had fun and was a little bit excited about all the reads I read online about it.

  • I need to think of the style that I want, the things I want to sell. I’m actually leaning more to vintage clothing and the classic basic clothing.
  • I saw some nice velvety blackĀ mannequins for sale and I am thinking of putting some in the boutique for a little more drama.
  • I want a very shabby chic little nook for those who wait for their companions who are trying clothes in the store.
  • I want to use interesting boutique clothing racks, some really nice window displays and maybe put some art.

But I discovered that I will be needing more stuff than these and I think, I’m not too ready to be into a small business that will take so much of my time. I’m afraid that I will have no family time at all because of this if ever I still want to continue my freelance job on the side.

    More Investments

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Saturday 3 December 2011 6:41 pm

My husband and my uncle buy gold coins and they still continue to invest. I still don’t have the guts to invest in gold like them because I have no time to learn more about the investment so I am leaving it all to them. My husband recently told me that he earned again from the coins and explained how but I was browsing online and wasn’t sure if I understood it right. Well, I promised him to give more time to it soon, I will but right now, I am just happy he gave me extra Christmas shopping moolah from the earnings! SWEET!

    Music Lover

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Saturday 3 December 2011 6:34 pm

Most people don’t know that my husband is a music lover. He loves jazz and appreciates all kinds of music. His current favorite today is Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5. I wasn’t surprised that he will love this song (well, I love it too!). He currently bought a Fender Jaguar and is trying to play the song with the new instrument. He love show the guitar sounds, he thinks it sounds perfect and thinks that his purchase is so worth it! He wants to learn it before the Holidays, probably wants to play to friends who will have dinner with us on December 26. I am actually more excited in seeing him play because he will be putting his own touch to the song. He practices in the garage so I won’t have any idea who the song goes. I will also be surprised, for sure!

    Techie Problem

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Saturday 3 December 2011 6:27 pm

I’ve been having problems with my cellphone recently and a friend of my husband suggested that I get a cellular booster and I have no idea what he was talking about so I searched online about it because that might really help me with my problems. Sometimes I lose my calls because of signal problems and I have clients all around the States and there are times we cutoff because of my phone. Calls are more expensive and a hassle at times so I think I should really get this…

Calls should be easier and stress free soon, I hope so.
