Ryan Reynolds on Mark & Spencer

Mark and Spencer turns Hollywood A-List with their 2011 Autumn Collection! Ryan Reynolds, 34, and model-turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely, 24, are the new faces of the said chain. I am too psyched to see Ryan Reynolds in all their ads. Yummy eye candy for women shoppers like me!

Revamping the Bar Section of the House

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Home Shopping | Thursday 15 September 2011 9:46 pm

My husband and I love to remodel our home. We feel that after 5-7 years, the house should be revamped, if not just a simple repainting will do. Not to be so meticulous about it but we believe that it will also help the house to be maintained when it comes to structure. Most dilapidated homes are neglected, so we vow to maintain this apartment until such time that we have to sell it for a nicer home. So what are we remodeling today? Well, we are buying furniture like new bar stools and repainting the whole bar section. The husband is tasked for decisions like paint colors and design while of course, I am tasked for shopping for new items. I am so happy to find a site, Deals Direct, for I can browse their wild array of bar stools and other furniture items that I can buy for the bar. I am also looking at wines and some other alcohol drinks and I am putting those on the list but right now let me share to you what I am drooling from this awesome site…

Very masculine for the husband but I want to put a little color to make it contemporary…

If the husband approves, I want pink! But if not, I can go subtle with these…

White touch from the almost all black bar that he is designing.

Spa-holic Lass

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Thursday 15 September 2011 9:31 pm

… and that’s me. My friend and I tried this outrageous massage with dead sea mud that proves to really tighten and cleanse your body. I felt really cleansed and relaxed after the massage but I am having doubts if that is really read mud from dead sea. I hope to do this more often because I feel that it is helping me release all my stress during the week. It can be a little pricey but if I put extra budget for beauty then I guess this will be one on my priorities. Stress gives so much negative stuff in our body and I don’t mind getting stressed out once in a while but if it’s quite often already, I believe we have to do something about it. I’m just glad that there are friends who are spaholics like me! I never enjoy going to spas alone.

Men Conversations

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My Everyday Musings | Thursday 15 September 2011 9:18 pm

My husband and his best friend were talking about motorcycle console and I honestly want to join in the conversation but I decided to just prepare snacks for them instead. I’d rather talk about basketball with them than anything about automobiles. Speaking of my husband. We had this cute conversation about buying an old school car. He wants a 1967 Carmengia and oh boy, I really thing a 1967 car is too old! I can’t disagree, I love old cars but this one, he wants to restore from scratch! My gosh! We are talking big bucks here and as much as I love cars, I have doubts about this.

Anthropologie Heaven

Going to Anthropologie is always a treat! I feel like I am entering a Woman’s Heaven. I feel giddy when I see all the items in their store and a few hours inside is never enough. I can their pieces, was admiring almost everything. The store is full of colors and some fabrics are for Fall season already. Very nice and I couldn’t resist and look at these eye candies…

DS won a couple sport trophies from the recent sports fest they had in school for the summer. It is really nice to know that their school organized nice activities for the students to attend to so even during the summer they kept in touch with their teachers and classmates. I know that they have to be away from school work during summer, to keep their minds away from school even for just a little bit but I guess some non-academic activities won’t hurt plus I got to know more of their teachers away from all the PTCs plus much bigger treats when my son won. Summer is almost over but I believe it is so much fun for DS.

Lovin’ MAC Lippies

Posted by Coast Side Babe | Cosmetics Shopping | Thursday 15 September 2011 12:50 am

I’ve been an avid user of make up, though I don’t put on too much. I usually play with my eyes but when there is not enough time, I just put on just a touch of lipstick and I am good to go. Yes, so you can say that I never go out of the house with just my bare face but I am never fully made up unless, there is a really formal gathering that I need to seek help of a make up artist. I’m always a follower of make up gurus over at You Tube, I used to hate some of the videos because they use cheap camcorders that take not so great videos but today? I enjoy almost all the videos because they use HD cameras and just last night, I am on You Tube watching swatches of MAC Lippies and I am sure to get these…

I Love The City

Posted by Coast Side Babe | The Shoe Fits | Wednesday 14 September 2011 9:46 pm

What is there not to love about New York City? Those steel buildings that towers the city, the cafes just around the corners, fancy restaurants anywhere you go, pizza and hotdog sandwiches on side streets plus all the shops!!! Yes, the shops that are so accessible when you want to look at something that intrigued you online. I had that experience yesterday. I was browsing over at Barney’s and saw this…

Fun Tuesday

A friend of mine invited me to come with her and visit their Tradeshow booth and loser that I am, I’ve never been to anything like it so since my time was free then, I grabbed the chance and besides, it’s free!I had so much fun with her and hopping from one booth to another, I learned so much in a span of 4 hours and I met a lot of people in the tradeshow too! And then my friend treated me to a very classy lunch over at E&E Grill House at 233 West 49th Street, between Broadway & 8th Avenue and the food was great and the ambiance too, I will definitely bring hubby there. I just realized that it is the 3rd best restaurant in New York City (according to Tripadvisor) anyway here are some photos of the restaurant.

My Job is L-O-V-E

Posted by Coast Side Babe | My 2 Cents | Wednesday 14 September 2011 8:38 pm

It has never occurred to me that I will be in this profession and I am thankful that I chose this career. Some of my friends are searching their Legacy System Operator Jobs to get on the top, others are in the medical field and some are employed in a more complicated corporate career but I chose to be a freelancer because I don’t want the pressure of searching the ideal work for me and working my way up to the corporate ladder of success. I guess you can say, that amongst my friends, I am the simplest. Ever since I was in college, I knew that my first priority is to have my own family and when I met my husband, I knew that he will be the one. I am not saying that he should just be the provider because I still chose to have my own career but at least the time I have is enough to attend to my career and my family, which is very ideal to me. I have nothing against friends who chose to have an 8-5 jobs but it is also not a secret that I love my job! :)
